How ZimPrem decides what is safe to publish
Zimbabwean football data is fragmented across official channels, club sources, match records and reporting. ZimPrem is designed to make that uncertainty visible, preserve provenance and correct errors without pretending every field is complete.

Data lineage matters
Operational records retain source labels, URLs, verification timestamps and health history so corrections can be traced back through the system rather than silently overwritten.
Breaking does not mean unverified
Speed never changes the standard for confirmed facts. Rumours and reports can be surfaced when useful, but they must be labelled as such until stronger evidence arrives.
Commercial stays separate
Sponsors and advertisers can buy clearly labelled placements. They do not decide match outcomes, table calculations, transfer status, article conclusions or data verification.
Clubs can contribute, not self-publish
Verified club officers can submit updates into a review workflow. A club-submitted change remains attributable to the club and does not bypass central checks.
Automation is fail-closed
ZimPrem uses automation to monitor sources, calculate standings and prepare factual drafts. When a source is incomplete or conflicts with another source, the system holds the record for review instead of manufacturing certainty.

What carries the most weight
- 1. First-party confirmation. League, competition or club notices and records where available.
- 2. Structured specialist records. Established football databases used with source attribution and reconciliation.
- 3. Credible reporting. Reputable publishers and journalists, especially when independent reports corroborate each other.
- 4. Community information. Useful as a lead or correction signal, but not promoted to verified fact without stronger evidence.
Corrections
How an error is handled
Corrections can be submitted from public match and data surfaces or through the contact route. The operations team checks the supporting source, updates the underlying record when justified, retains the audit trail and lets connected public surfaces refresh from the corrected source of truth.
Automation and AI
Automation accelerates evidence. It does not replace evidence.
Matchday Pulse can detect source state changes, update verified scores, calculate the league table and prepare post-match drafts. Source Watch can identify potential stories and transfer reports. Match Intelligence can propagate a verified player incident into statistics. Those systems are intentionally gated so ambiguous names, disputed results and unsupported incident detail stay in review rather than becoming public fact.
Independence
ZimPrem is not the league
ZimPrem is an independent digital football platform. It does not claim ownership of the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League, club trademarks, broadcast rights or third-party data rights. Where a first-party club channel exists, the platform links back to it and identifies it as the source.
